i die, diy editionz

guys, let me tell you.
it's really satisfying to SET A GOAL and then ACCOMPLISH IT.

case in point..i was reallly obsessed with lady gaga's hairbow made outta hair for your hair?

and i was like..i NEED to do this.
and..i actually did.

so pay attention:

cardboard center + fake hair from clinton street, mami (2 bucks!)
+ a cheap headband + saturday crafternoon at keren's =


seriously questioning my own (in)sanity.

yeah i wore it out all night, what of it?

after drinks and the pains show at merc and more drinks and dancing at daddy's...the bow didn't make it, how do you say, UNSCATHED.
it's now much more winehouse-esque and the headband ees broke, oooooooopsydoops.

um..so proud of it?

EDIT: i seriously encourage all of you who want to to try and make one..it was pretty easy. the hair was $2, the cardboard form inside was a box keren had lying around. i knotted embroidery floss in the back and then used the floss to tie the whole thing onto a black plastic headband (i bought a 99 cent one that was a tiny lattice so i could thread the floss through it). then i hairsprayed the whole thang to make it a little sturdy...do it! you too can look bananas for mere PENNIES...
