i am totally BEYONDDDD excited to see the NEW new interview, i mean i die for fab but i die for the M/Ms too (i loooove what they do at arena homme +, among a bjillion other thangs)
their first cover popped up on the internets yesterday:
they hit the archivez and brought the logo back to the seventies era of interview, i was instantly reminded of the january 79 capote cover:
..actually the 70s aesthetic of interview is SUUPER m/m steez, lots of cut paper scribble collage-y ness:
quite a departure from the cold future fashion covers that fabby fabz was giving us, i will miss it:

but, Interview is one of my favorite magazines (it's quite an elite few) and i really want it to be handled with EXTREME CARE (um, Warhol's baby mag?) and i really don't want it to be changed too much.
but when you enter Interview, you know what readers want, right? they'll be fine.
change is def good, but i loved what fabien and karl were doing at interview. im rly interested to see the changes.

And you know that Carlen just did a shoot for them for a "young artist series"? Can't hate when they're honouring the greatest of the greatest of friends.
(still playing it cool phone number wise btw. Thinking maybe Tuesday will be most impressive?)
i'm liking the change in art direction, but did you know that just last week they hired full-time INTERNS (aka free assistants) for every single department?!??! that shit's fucked up.

Yes.. But I'm still not sure if the new design tops Baron's work.. I'm waiting for it to grow on me!
