what did I tell you?
Hey so I just saw Lady Gaga and HOLY SHIT she is even freaking better in concert - a combination of young Madonna and batshit crazy. She wore a bunch of different outfits (all sans actual pants) and had some type of pseudo "art film" video of herself playing in between songs where she played some character called "Candy Warhol." Yeah, ok this is really difficult to explain but trust me she was FANTASTIC, so so so good.

HIIIII! Haha. I've just been lurking in the background of the blogworld for awhile but I've still been reading my favorites, aka you/Tavi/Belle/Lulu/Susie/etc. Anyways, full description of the concert:
The cover bands were shitty, first of all, I don't know who picked them but if it was (Ms?) Gaga herself then she has some pretty terrible taste in music. But anyways, we waited about two hours and finally this massive screen came down with a countdown flashing pictures of Lady Gaga and then BAM! it dropped and she was wearing a wig and some type of leotard.. There were like 4 costume changes so I can't really remember them all, I was stuck behind a bunch of tall assholes since I was running late! I do know that the second outfit was a sort of armor-like breastplate (ala Queen Michelle if you know what I mean) with a leotard bottom, the third was a leotard covered in glass bubbles (which she wore to play a ballad version of "Poker Face" at a glass piano also filled with glass bubbles), and the last was a Margiela-esque blazer with her "hotpants" aka underwear. She wore a platinum blonde wig and had three or four incredibly hot black backup dancers wearing coordinating outfits the entire time.
Her voice was very breathy and little girly, and she said a lot of inane musician-isms but my favorite was (not word for word): "Have you ever come up with a lie? And wanted people to believe it so badly that you'd do anything, even kill for it? Some people said Lady Gaga is a lie (boos from the crowd). Well, they're right. I am a lie..
And I'm killing for it every night!"
Ok, what else.. well, there was that weird pseudo-art-film of herself that played in between songs. Pretty impossible to describe but hopefully you get the gist of it - you know, close ups of lips and lots of "symbolism". There was a bit where she was supposed to have no heart or brain, and there was fake blood on her chest from where her heart used to be? Pretty creepy.
Wow, so I guess I just summed up the whole concert right there. Definitely one of the best I've ever been to! Hopefully she'll come to NY (concert central) so you can go experience the epicness.

I am greatful that i have finally found someone as gaga for gaga as I am. shes adorable in nature, genious in design, and I think she needs to be our best friend :)
