yesterday at her parent's house we went digging through all of the stuff she has in her old bedroom...so much stuff from our teenage past, i will do a million posts about it.
when she pulled this out i almost lost it:

the original copy of the zine i made with my friend hazel in 10th grade!!!
DIEEEEEEEEEE. a milliontrillion times.
i will scan and post, it's half awesome, half embarrassing.
favorite part: my review of the rocket from the crypt show at maxwell's (december 30, 1994) where i got a black eye..! haaaaahahaha.
ps, i lied to my parents and said i tripped and knocked my head on a table (worst lie ever?), but really some douche tried to crowdsurf and knocked me down !
i still have a teeeenytiny scar above my eye where i got the epic gash...
pps, i was kinda funny at 16.
pardon me for a moment, i am currently drowning in nostalgia.

I LOVE THIS STORY. My high school zine was called Glitter Trash. So STU.
Childlike Empress on the cover is so dope!
This is awesome. I also had a zine in high school with my best friend, which was equal parts amazing/embarrassing. I have to go find it now...

Tiffany

oh man, I wish people my age could all say "my zine was called ____" in years to come! i had to explain to my friends what they are. oy gevalt. i gave the one i made to laura and kate (they kinda said it was their favorite thing anyone had ever given them, hehhhh) but the lame pictures i don't post i'll send to you so you can laugh at me
the fact that the childlike empress is on the cover of that makes my life. Yes, I'm a mere 19 years old and it took me about .000001 seconds to recognize the childlike empress... I'm good like that ;)
