Today's Special: Sweaters N Suede

1. Men's 1940's (?) orange cardigan, yard sale in Portland, random ancient striped shirt, Club Monaco silk skirt
2. Steve Madden maroon suede clogs

WHY DID I WAIT MY WHOLE LIFE TO WAER MY CARDIGAN UPSIDE DOWN? It's like a whole new world up in here. a wonderfully capey drapey new world. I mean..it's a revelation. I was inspired by Angie while she was doing The Uniform Project (who in turn was inspired by SBubbs, an old-school upside-downer). Try this right now, life is gonna change!

Also who knew these clogs would be such a hit? On sale and calling me with their dark suede-y siren song..I was powerless to walk away.
I'm relieved to report that I can actually COMMUTE in them- uneven streets and stairways are no match AND I am way way taller than usual. Plus ladies are stopping me on the street about where I got them and that is always fun.

Other thoughts: My bangs look like I cut them with a butter knife (cool or cool?).

wearing your cardigan upside down is so genius! loving the boxy shape it gives, and probably drapey when your arms are down right? i'm gonna stock up on cardigans and try it myself. and... how on earth did you cut your fringe w a butter knife? hahaha too cute.

SH*T! that upside-down idea just kinda sorta changed my life! i have so many ill-fitting cardigans it's crazy, and just this morning i was trying on EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM trying to make them look more interesting. damn, i could have never thought of this on my own!

also, on the bangs: i also just cut them myself in pretty much the same shape, with perhaps shoddier results, so praised they must be!

i've been wearing huge cardigans upside down for a little while, plus you can button them crossover for a triple-breasted look.

i have one up on etsy that i'm only selling bc the bf hates it. but it is PERFECT for upside-down wearing. I even have a picture...

It pretty much changed my life when I realized that cardigans look 100x better upside down...people in stores now think I'm totally crazy, but really...they probably already did anyways. xo

OMG, just cut my bangs myself and they look like that too. Too lazy to fix them or care much. Also love wearing things upside-down, but usually do it by accident and don't notice until I realize I have restricted arm movement etc.
