I feel like this is a rare crossover moment where Snooki's Halloween costume could be Lady Gaga's next outfit for like..a Starbucks run. Or to make a deposit at the bank.
This teeny tiny green dream is a shimmering kosher dill chip permanently placed in my heart.

Important: Has Anybody Seen My Tambourine?
I mean, next year my costume should clearly be the neon yellow student witch uniform from Worst Witch.
This was probably one THE most watched movies in my house for most of the 80s.
Child Fairuza (Midred Hubble!)! Mrs Garrett the Witch Headmistress! Tim Curry Dreamboat Warlock!
God gawd, this is great. Take a minute to take it all in.
Happy Halloween!
Gimme all yr candycorns and no one gets hurt.

Giveaway: ALTER giftcard
When I said giveaways every Friday, I meant it! It's technically still Friday, altho a tad late I admit. But this one is worth the wait:
ALTER, the Brooklyn boutique, is giving a spesh WL reader 50 bones to spend as they wish ! You lucky devils. If you don't live in the 5 boroughs, you can still benefit–they take orders over the phone (yaaaay, everyone wins) (ps, they have a store for GUYS, TOO. So EVERYONE join in...!)
In honor of this NYT CMJ slideshow, which is full of the most ridiculous is-this-life-or-is-this-The-Onion band names (NOT counting the The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, of course), please leave your best attempt at a name that would dovetail nicely with such gems as The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger (real), Electric Tickle Machine (real) and Podcastle (fake).
Worst (aka Best) wins the gift card!
Now please, leave me a comment that makes my eyes roll with delight.

Birthday Tribute: Winona Ryder
Today let's celebrate my personal teenage icon and fellow Scorpio, Miss Winona Ryder.
The best cool girl icon that there ever was, until Chloe Sevs (and shop-lifting, oopsydoops). I think I've seen every movie she did in the 80s and 90s about 6000 times...I say it's a perfect time to bring back 2 of that deserve a little recognition: Bram Stoker's Dracula and Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael.
Watch this whole clip, you have the time. For the record, Dinky Bosetti is pretty much the original Daria Morgendorffer, JUST SAYING. I was OBSESSED with this movie as a kid!!!
LOVE YOU NONNIE !!!!
Winona Forever.

FFF Column: Best of London SS11
In my latest column over at Full Frontal Fashion, I share my superfaves from London Showrooms, a wonderland (to me !) where my favorite designers and collections from London Fashion Week set up camp in teh Soho Grand for 2 days and let us fondle their wares (ew?).
I was elated, because I am a geek like that- I just want to see the stuff UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL-LIKE, ya know?
Here are some more photos than are included in my column..enjoy:
ATALANTA WELLER:
Must have flats.
HEIKKI SALONEN
I fell for this prints in every incarnation- that backpack is destined to be mine !
HOLLY FULTON!!!!
sidenote: Holly Fulton is my new favorite person; her jewelry, prints, and lunchbox handbag made my day and on topof that she is adorable and just lovely IRL. Almost everyone at the showroom was a pleasure to meet, but Holly is a personal fave!!!
MARY KATRANTZOU
Absolutely STUNNING pieces in person. So original and strange..

Spring Preview: RODEBJER SS11
Are the Swedes some sort of uber-aesthetic sect of humanity or what?
Just gonna walk around like this the whole time to maintain optimum rectangularity, at least I'll be easy to spot in a crowd.
Acne, ABBA, H&M, Britt Eklund, top streetstyle, Happy Socks, tiny meatballs, IKEA, Dolph Lundgren..I mean, the country is a SMöRGåSBORD (Swedish!!) OF COMELY, STYLISH, AMAZINGNESS. I mean maybe you relax for a second, Sweden, let the rest of us try to feel cool for a minute.
Not a surprise to me that the latest collection to make me say Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat over and over and over again (and try on everything I could in the showroom) is Rodebjer, by Carin Rodebjer (A SWEDE, OBVI!)
I really think Carin might be superhuman; in addition to a perfect collection of drapey cool-girl pieces, she has shoes, jewelry, a hat and a couple of bags. I really gravitated toward the navy pieces, as well as everything in the sunburst yellow n' orange and this great mustard shade.
It's been a while since i wanted EVERY SINGLE THING I saw in a collection; but that's how I feel about Rodebjer..It feels sorta vintage, sorta new... It all has the quality that makes girls come up to you and ask where did you get that, I need it.
I stayed for so long. I couldn't help myself!!! Here are 2 of my faves (um..already ordered, you best believe) that I had a hard time leaving behind: The Punaluu Poncho and the Manzanillo suede wedges, both in navy blue. Both the softest of the soft, thin wool and suede respectively.

I can't get over how in love I was with everything she had on offer for Spring..don't sleep on Rodebjer, this is TOPS for SS11, trust.I stayed for so long. I couldn't help myself!!! Girl Crush: Asia Zahm
My current favorite face on the internet is Olivier Zahm's daughter, Asia.
I mean, between Asia and Boo (<----IMPORTANT), my head is dangerously close to exploding about 6000 times a day. The Duhmazing Factor is at an all-time high.
So..when does she start her own blog?

Today's Special: Tiny Print Mixes
How many different ways can I say I love this time of year ? I honestly think my mood improves when I can layer. It's nice to get excited about getting dressed again.
I also scored this leopard print cardigan, to go with the leopard print sheer shirt and blue silk Lauren Moffat skirt which I die for because it has pockets and makes me feel fancy.
I have wanted a sweater like this forever because A. I don't have any cropped cardigans that are above my knee and B. I consider leopard a neutral.
As should you, frankly.

OH HI, I DIDN'T SEE YOU THERE. I'M JUST KEEPING IT CASUAL.
My vibe right now is all about turning my color palette down a little bit for Fall..My plan is to keep the same mixing of patterns and prints but trying out a slightly more subdued take? But fear not, friends: I REFUSE (staunchly) to give up the color red, and so my lips (and sometimes my tights) will maintain obnoxious-levels of brightness (you can all breathe easy now).

SHIRT: MNG FOR JCPENNEY // SKIRT: LAUREN MOFFAT // GOOD LUCK JANGLES This top (courtesy of this month's WL sponsor) is the outfit addition I've been searching for the past few weeks..Something sheer but not SO revealing, with a perfect print that makes it seem vintage-y but also a little Lanvin-y. I got it oversized and buttoned it all the way up because I feel like the blousiness balances out the see-throughness, and everything looks 10x cooler buttoned all the way up (trust)

ANTIQUE TORTOISESHELL CUBE TABLE: MY GRANDMOTHER'S // VINTAGE VINYL FLORAL ARMCHAIR: FROM MY SISTER // LEOPARD CARDIGAN: MNG FOR JCPENNEY
I have wanted a sweater like this forever because A. I don't have any cropped cardigans that are above my knee and B. I consider leopard a neutral.

SHOES: ALDO // SWEATER: MNG FOR JCPENNEY // SKIRT: LAUREN MOFFAT // BAG: KATHERINE FLEMING
Some of my Fall Essentials: A desert boot wedge (also a departure for me- beige suede?! They are so dope), suede & python bag (perfection), animal print cardigan (to wear over every dress and under every jacket). Not pictured, but equally as important to the season: hot toddies, pumpkins to carve, endless candy corns.
